Sorting packaging materials

By responsibly sorting your packaging materials, you play a vital role in benefiting Aarstiderne, yourself and our precious planet.

At Aarstiderne, we are committed to minimizing our packaging usage and introducing eco-friendly packaging options. Nevertheless, you will still receive some packaging materials in your Aarstiderne box, and we are here to guide you in their proper disposal.

Wooden and styrofoam boxes: We recycle both wooden and styrofoam boxes. Simply place the empty boxes out for the next delivery, and our driver will collect them. For the styrofoam box, ensure it is free of water, and remove the white absorbent which, unfortunately, cannot be reused. Dispose of the absorbent mat as residual waste.

Plastic and Foil Bags (with labels or print) from items such as rice, quinoa, pumpkin seeds, bulgur, and spices should be disposed of as residual waste.

Plastic bags from herbs, spinach, and similar items should be disposed of as soft plastic.

Cardboard trays, e.g., from tomatoes are compostable and should be sorted as cardboard waste or composted. Please note that they cannot be placed in the green bin in Copenhagen Municipality.

Plastic containers for sliced greens, pesto, toppings and similar should be rinsed and sorted as hard plastic. The top foil should be disposed of as residual waste.

Wooden trays from mushrooms should be disposed of as residual waste.

Plastic packaging from meat and fish should be rinsed and sorted as plastic waste.

Glass containers from tems such as capers and tomato sauce should be sorted as glass.

Wood wool should be disposed of as residual waste.

Our conscientious sorting efforts contribute to a greener future for all. Thank you for your commitment to sustainability.
